    Description

    Reproduced from a southern plantation-a beautiful antebellum Federal style convex mirror.  This mirror was highly fashionable in the early XVIII Century.  The ornaments and details reflected our new independence and government.  At the top is an American eagle over a platform. There are 2 banners on either side.  Acanthus leaf sprays are top and bottom. An ebonized inner frame complements the gilded mirror.
