    Description

    This Chippendale style mirror is a slight adaptation of an original looking glass which hangs in George Washingtons Mansion. Chippendale looking glasses with scroll pediments surmounted by an eagle or phoenix were popular on both sides of the Atlantic during the late 18th-century.
